30, 60 or 90-Minute Home Massage: Which Should You Choose?

The best massage duration for your booking depends on what you want from the appointment and how much time you can set aside. Longer does not automatically mean better for everyone. Start with your preferred focus, then match the session to your schedule.

On the Massage-me Algarve menu, a 30-minute back session is €60, a standard 60-minute massage is €95, and 90 minutes is €120 per person. These are different appointment options, not three identical services compressed into different lengths.

30 minutes: a focused back session

Choose the shorter back option if you want the appointment concentrated on that area and have limited treatment time. Tell the practitioner your preferences before starting. Do not assume that a 30-minute booking includes the same coverage as a longer full-session request.

There is still equipment to set up and an access route to arrange. A 30-minute treatment is therefore not a promise that the entire visit will fit into a 30-minute gap between meetings. Ask the team to confirm the full appointment arrangements.

60 minutes: room for a planned session

A 60-minute slot gives you a standard session length on the Relax, Deep Tissue and Sports menu. Discuss what you want the practitioner to focus on rather than assuming every part of the body must receive equal time.

This option can suit a holiday schedule with other commitments, provided you also leave room for arrival and set-up. Tell the team if you have a fixed departure time and avoid planning another appointment immediately against the treatment end time.

90 minutes: more time for your preferences

If you prefer a longer appointment and can set aside the time, 90 minutes allows more treatment time within the agreed session. The practitioner can discuss how to allocate it to your preferences. Extra minutes do not establish a medical outcome or replace an assessment when one is needed.

Consider your own comfort with lying on the table and receiving massage for longer. You can ask questions before booking and discuss pressure and positioning with the practitioner.

For couples and groups, count minutes per person

Two people receiving 60 minutes each require two hours of treatment if appointments are consecutive, plus the agreed preparation arrangements. Simultaneous appointments need two practitioners and suitable space for two tables.

For three people choosing 60 minutes each, the treatment reference is €285 in the Algarve. The schedule depends on how many practitioners are confirmed; the total duration of the visit is not automatically one hour.

A simple decision checklist

  • Choose a focused back appointment if that is the session you want.
  • Choose 60 or 90 minutes according to your preferences and available time.
  • Allow for access and equipment set-up outside the treatment minutes.
  • For more than one person, agree the sequence and practitioner numbers.
  • Confirm the regional price rather than assuming every location uses the Algarve table.

Compare available treatment durations or ask the team to help you choose. Describe your preferences in the enquiry; medical information should be discussed privately with the appropriate professional.
